London: Sales Manager – to 38K Base + Comm + bonus (OTE of 50K+) This role serves to act as Sales Manager for a few months, whilst observing the current Event Manager, with a view to taking over those responsibilities from April 2014. In addition to Sales Manager responsibilities the Event Manager position includes greater influence over the P+L, budget planning, developing industry relationships, programming up to three conference programmes, and managing internal relationships with operations, admin and accounts. Our client is one of the fastest growing, professional event companies in London. The business runs events across multiple sectors including technology and healthcare. The successful Sales Manager will have worked on B2B exhibitions previously. Key day-to-day tasks of the Event Sales Manager include:
  • Managing the development of revenue by achieving agreed targets, meeting with clients, preparing presentations and creating ideas for new business
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand and develop working relationships
  • Delivering group and board level product and solution presentations
  • Keeping up to date with market trend and competitor activity
Key attributes required for the Event Sales Manager role include:
  • Extensive event/ exhibition sales experience
  • Demonstrable consultative selling expertise to board level clients
  • Ability to build and nurture strong relationships internally and externally
